Trailer of the new Ghostbusters movie is kinda bland and boring

So, the official trailer for the new Ghostbusters movie just hit the Internet. Here it is if you haven't seen it yet:

First off, I don't dislike the idea of all-female Ghostbusters. I have nothing against that at all. The first movies had all-male casts, so why not mix things up a bit. It's not a sacred cow or anything like that.

But, as you might have guessed, there's a but. The trailer is kinda bland. And boring. It tries to do a lot of things, like being funny and it tries to awe you with ghosts and whatnot. But it really isn't working. It's been done in such a paint by numbers fashion, that it makes the whole thing look generic and the jokes feel just poorly paced.

Then again, I've laughed out loud for trailers of some pretty horrible comedies and been left cold by trailers of some pretty awesome movies, so there still might be a good movie there, with this new Ghostbusters. But as far I can see now, this trailer is almost as bad of a misfire as that big Batman VS Superman trailer was, after which they quickly made another one that featured almost solely Batman, the only thing people like about the trailer.

What I liked the most about this trailer? Kristen Wiig. But sadly enough everything else just felt underwhelming. And the biggest mistake was the "ooh, we have this and this and this kind of characters" introduction for the new team. That was just horrible.

Sony, you can do better.
